SUPPORT

Support Services and Practical Help

Cancer treatment affects more than your health. Costs, transport, food, feelings, and family life all matter too. The team can connect you with help.

Support services

  • Social work: practical and emotional support for you and your family.
  • Nutrition: dietitian support if treatment affects eating or weight.
  • Psychological support: help with worry, low mood, or sleep during treatment.
  • Interpreters: language support during visits.
  • Accessibility assistance: wheelchair help and accessible entrances.

Family members and caregivers

Caring for someone in treatment is important work — and it can be tiring. You are welcome at visits: a second listener helps. Ask the team how best to support your loved one at each stage, and ask for support for yourself if you need it..
