It is important to take care of our wellbeing during these difficult times. Here are some tips that can boost your mental health and wellbeing:
- Take a short break every couple of hours: walk around and count your steps; focus on your breathing; listen to music for 5 minutes; or call someone.
- When something goes wrong, assess with compassion. Focus on the issue at hand to solve the problem, not blame the person- especially when that person is you.
- Always remember that you are doing the best you can with what you have, and that you are trying to find ways to do even better.
- Stay mindful of what helps and maximize on that. Stay mindful of your triggers and proactively plan to deal with them.
- Remember that you are human too. You do good, falter and make mistakes. Seek support in ways that help you, from your own self to your peers, friends, family, and mental health professionals.
